Report: Russian econ ministry raises GDP outlooks for 2017–2019

MOSCOW, Aug 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Economic Development Ministry has raised the gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast for 2017 to 2.1% from 2%, for 2018 to 2.1%, for 2019 to 2.2%, and for 2020 to 2.3% from 1.5% in 2018–2020, Reuters reported on Monday, citing documents of the ministry.

The ministry also changed the forecasts for the Urals price to U.S. $49 per barrel from $45.6 per barrel in 2017 and to $43.8 per barrel from $40.8 per barrel in 2018. The forecast for 2019–2020 remained at $41.6 and $42.4 per barrel, respectively.

The ruble rate forecasts were revised to 59.7 per U.S. dollar from 64.2 in 2017, to 64.7 from 69.8 in 2018, to 66.9 from 71.2 in 2019, and to 68 from 72.7 in 2020.
